Volleyball tryouts for the 2022-23 school year will begin on Tuesday August 30. A current MHSAA physical card must be turned in prior to tryouts. You can find the complete practice and match schedule below. Please know that practices and matches can change based on unforeseen reason. Coaches will communicate any schedule changes as the season plays out. Our coaches are listed above and you can email them with any question you may have about the program. Physical forms can be downloaded from the DeWitt Middle School Athletics page.
The DeWitt Board of Education sets fees annually for student participation pricing. Sports participation fees (Pay to Play):
High School fee $225/Year ($500 Family Limit)
Junior High fee $150/Year ($300 Family Limit)
The limit for families with both high school and junior high athletes is $500.
Fees are due on the first day of practice/tryouts. If preferred, 1/2 may be paid on the first day of practice/tryouts, with the remainder being due by the first competition. Sports Participation Fees will be waived for families that qualify for free/reduced lunch through Food Services.
Students must have a valid, up to date physical on file at the junior high office before they can tryout, practice, or compete. These forms are available at the HS athletic office as well as the Junior High Office. All physicals must be dated April 15th or later.
Student eligibility requirements are set by the DeWitt Board of Education in consultation with the Michigan High School Athletic Association. At DeWitt Junior High the athletic director pulls eligibility reports by noon on Friday. Any student that is failing any class is deemed not eligible for the full following week. Student's eligibility will be redetermined the following Friday for the following weeks competition.

The best place for our student athletes to start his or her season is with a strong understanding of the high expectations we have of them.
